As the Chief Information Officer at Connect3x, Rich Sasaki leverages the creative and innovative use of technology to enable the Connect 3x mission. Rich is a crucial part of the Connect3x team and delivers on a full spectrum of technology solutions to enable the company’s ability to positively impact as many lives as possible.
With over 20 years of experience demonstrating professional excellence and driving continuous improvement, Rich’s career includes working for Microsoft, Starbucks, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. An innovative entrepreneur, Rich launched iKokua, a unique marketplace that inspired others to rethink philanthropy and embrace the power of purposeful giving. He also founded Shorebreak IT, a company that focused on end-to-end data management solutions for nonprofit organizations.
A hands-on, empathetic leader, Rich knows what it’s like to be in the trenches. Delivering value across the organization, he enjoys helping anyone who needs a strategy created or a problem solved.
Rich holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Hawaii Pacific University. At home in Seattle, Rich spends his free time with his wife and family, transporting the kids to their many sports practices and games. He also enjoys cooking, fishing, golf, and travel. Rich and his wife support Listen & Talk(listentalk.org), an organization that promotes communication through listening and spoken language. Their involvement was prompted by his daughter’s journey through hearing loss.
